50 Million without Health care? Please tell the truth!

Here are the facts about the governments' figures: First of all, the politicians are making fraudulent claims regarding the need of universal or national health care. They tell us that more than 45 million Americans are without health insurance. However, they neglect to mention some of the demographics of those 45 million people, such as:
1) 37% (over 16 million) live in households making over $50,000/yr
2) 8.5 million of those live in households making over $75,000/yr
3) 20%(9 million) are NOT CITIZENS
4) the other 33% qualify for existing government programs.
So, subtract out those who could afford major medical coverage if they so desired, non-citizens and those who fit under existing programs and you leave about 10 million who REALLY need coverage.
Much of this problem could be fixed by removing legal requirements for what insurance has to cover. We could return to true insurance, which would cover major health problems, instead of the medical equivalent of oil changes and tire rotations.
And here is something else the politicians won’t tell you – The Congressional budget office estimates that a standard health insurance deduction would make coverage affordable for 7 million additional people. A treasury department study reached the same conclusion.
So congress could wipe out the un-insurance problem in one fell swoop, not by creating a new dragnet program, but by simply letting people keep more of their own money. In addition, the health insurance deduction could apply to payroll and medicare taxes too. These are regressive taxes that hurt low income Americans far more than income taxes do. Best of all, a standard health insurance deduction would help everyone, not just those with lower incomes.
What a simple solution. Just a standard health insurance deduction would easily help most of the people out there who cannot afford insurance, probably because of the exorbitant taxes we are all paying.
I believe that universal health care would be the demise of us all, as 1/3 of all physicians currently practicing are planning on quitting within the next 3 years just because of the threat of universal healthcare. They do not want to deal with all the red tape, forms and extra employees necessary to handle them. Watch and see what happens if we do get Universal healthcare. We’ll be just like Canada, where it takes months to get a doctors appointment and even longer to get procedures required to keep us alive. Push for the deduction. It’s a much cheaper and easier alternative.
